Fire fighting proceduresIf batteries are on charge, shut off power. Use positive pressure, self contained breathing apparatus in fighting fire. Wear acid-resistant clothing, gloves, face and eye protection in case of acid splatter during water application.
Fire and explosion hazardBatteries generate hydrogen and oxygen during operation or when on charge(Hydrogen is flammable and oxygen supports combustion). Do keep sparks and other flame sources away to avoid risk of fire or explosion.

SECTION 5: REACTIVITY DATA

SECTION 6: FIRST AID MEASURES
InhalationRemove to fresh air and provide medical oxygen/CPR if needed. Obtain medical attention.
SkinImmediately flush with water for at least 15 minutes, hold eyelids open. Obtain medical attention.
EyesFlush contacted area with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and obtain medical attention if necessary.
IngestionDo not induce vomiting. If conscious drink large amounts of water/milk. Obtain medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

SECTION 7: PRECAUTIONS
Charging: ventilated area is recommended. Battery vent caps should be kept in position.
Prohibit smoking and avoid flames and sparks nearby.
Handling, storage, and transportation: store in dry, cool, well-ventilated areas away from combustible and reactive materials, open flames and other sources of ignition. Keep away from metallic objects that could bridge the terminals on a battery and create a dangerous short-circuit. Store under roof for protection against rough weather conditions.
Steps to take in case of electrolyte leakage or broken battery case: remove combustible materials, neutralize any electrolyte with soda ash(sodium bicarbonate) until spilling stops. Keep untrained personnel away from electrolyte and battery. Place broken battery and cleaned-up materials in a plastic bag or unmorally container with a label specifying" Hazardous waste". Wear acid resistant boots, face shield, chemical splash goggles and acid resistant gloves. Don’t release neutralized acid.

DOT - unregulated, meet the requirement of 49 CFR 173,159(d).
